Surin National
Marine Park is located in the Andaman Sea, off the province of Phang-Nga, near the town of Kuraburi. It is part of an archipelago that stretches from Myanmar through Koh Surin, to the Similan Islands. Before it became a National Park, Mu Koh Surin was a Forest Reserved. 76% from 135 Square Km is sea. The Park encloses 5 islands and 2 rock formations. Between the months of June and November, the Park will close for a monsoon season. The tropical forest and coral reefs are regarded as one of the most valuable natural classrooms in Thailand. |
